Question: What makes Tint Masters Maui Tint better than competitors?
Answer: We use 3M Ceramic and 3M Crystalline specialty films which we guarantee with a lifetime warranty will never turn purple, feel, bubble, or delaminate. Rest assured you're receiving longevity, quality, and the highest performance heat and UV protection in the tint industry, installed by the islands most advanced installers.
Question: Do you tint boats, fleet vehicles, and heavy machine equipment vehicles?
Answer: Yes. Please send us photos or call before stopping by for a custom quote. We service residential and commercial job sites throughout the week and are not always present at our auto shop. Normal business hours are Tue-Sat from 7 to 5. We provide tint services for boats, tractors, and more.
Question: Do you do mobile auto tinting?
Answer: No, we do all of our auto installs at our Kahului shop location where we have access to all of our specialty equipment. We work in a quality controlled environment to reduce dust and contaminants.
Question: My tints look streaky and bubbly. Is that normal?
Answer: For the first 3-5 days post install you may experience temporary imperfections or haze until the adhesive is fully cured. For complete aftercare details visit our aftercare page/tab. These imperfections self correct with heat and 3-5 days time and are a normal part of the curing/drying process.
Question: When can I wash my car?
Answer: Immediately after install. Refrain from touching or cleaning on or around the inside of your windows during the first 5 days post installation while your new tints are still curing. The outside of your windows can be touched and/or washed right after as the film is installed on the inside of the glass.
Question: Do you tint car headlights?
Answer: No. We do not know anyone who does headlight tinting.
Question: Do you install security film on vehicles?
Answer: No, only on flat glass residential or commercial windows.
Question: Do you sell any of your window films?
Answer: No, we do not sell films to the public. We've worked hard to obtain the exclusive Authorized 3M Dealer title and only offer professional tinting services (beware of counterfeits). We do provide removal services.
Question: What are the legal restrictions to tint my car? I want to be sure to pass my safety check.

Sedans: 35% is the darkest legal for the sides and back.
SUV's & Trucks: 35% is the darkest legal for the two front passenger windows. Back dr/rear windows have no restrictions.
Question: How long does it take to tint my vehicle?
Answer: It depends on how many windows you are getting done, as well as the window sizes, curvature of the glass, and your film selection. When you book your appointment we can give you an estimate, however estimated times are approximate, not guaranteed.
Question: Do you have a waiting area? I don't have a ride.
Answer: We do not have a waiting area or drop-off services. We recommend coordinating in advance to obtain a ride or accommodations during your appointment time so you will be the most comfortable.
Question: How long does it take for my windows to dry?
Answer: It can take 3-5 days for your tints to completely dry and settle down onto the glass smoothly. Sometimes it can take longer depending on the weather and temperature conditions. Click the button below for more information.

Will window film really stop my furniture from fading?
Window film will significantly reduce the amount of fading on interior furnishings. It’s nearly impossible to eliminate all risk of fading though.
How long will the film last in my home or building?
This depends on the film type, glass type, window construction, orientation and geographical location of the building. Most residential and automotive applications are covered by a lifetime warranty as long as you own the house or car. Most commercial installations receive either a 10 or 15 year warranty. There are some specialty films that have different terms; for example exterior films are warranted for 5 years on vertical glass, 2 years on sloped glass; decorative films usually have 7 year coverage.
72-hour Cancellation Policy: To avoid forfeiture of your deposit we ask you provide us at least 72 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your residential or commercial tint appointment. See below for our separate auto tint cancellation policy. We often precut and preload your patterns days in advance so the more notice you provide us, the better.
PICKUP/TURNAROUND TIME: Completion times are approximate, not guaranteed. We typically have a 1-2.5 day turnaround time depending on the job as our specialty films require drying methods in timed stages. Please pick a day where your schedule is flexible to accommodate this. To ensure the best install possible, please refrain from rushing the installers and allow us to call you when your vehicle is ready for pickup.
ARRIVAL: Please arrive several minutes early to confirm and choose your film selections and to check-in with our receptionist. You may be eligible for warranty paperwork that must be filled out prior to the install to be honored.
REMOVE ITEMS: Please remove all baby seats, large items, and personal belongings from your vehicle so we have unobstructed access to all windows. If we need to remove items we will not be responsible for reassembly.
CANCELLATION POLICY: We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling to avoid forfeiture of your non-refundable deposit. For cancellations prior to 48 hours before your appointment, your deposit will be applied towards your next appointment.
LATE POLICY: If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you. In this case, the same cancellation fee may apply.
WINDOW STICKERS: Please let us know if you have decals or stickers on any windows you'd like to keep on. In many cases we need to remove all window stickers to do a clean install. Unless otherwise requested, we will remove window stickers at our discretion.
