3M Crystalline is arguably the most advanced, highest performing film on the market in terms of UV protection (1000 SPF), heat reduction (up to 97%), and longevity. Installation methods are also extremely challenging, and only the best tinters in the world are even capable of performing a successful install with this film. This is due to the level of expertise required to heat shrink Crystalline properly and handle all 200 layers simultaneously without damage.
Install times for our 3M films are a bit longer than off-label competitors films. However, the result is superior optical clarity, performance, and longevity with a lifetime warranty. We do not recommend non-3M tint products which are metallized (potentially hazardous), and infamous for bubbling, peeling, fading, and color change.

Not all Ceramic films are created equal. We are the only 3M Ceramic authorized dealers on Maui. Beware of counterfeit/knockoff ceramic films which tend to turn purple and bubble over time.

Our standard size tint strip (approx. 4-5 inches from the top of the windshield) will come in a 5% shade - cut to your vehicles AS1 line per our discretion. Any other shade or size tint strip will have an additional charge and will take additional time to custom shape, shrink, and hand-cut.

Which Windows Do I Need To Tint? Get Discounts on Bundled Services
- Getting only your 2 front door (driver/passenger) windows tinted can be a great introduction to experiencing the powerful UV and heat rejection properties as well as the longevity and optical clarity of our Premium 3M films. However, our films are designed to be installed on all windows of your vehicle; including the rear, back glass, front windshield, sunroof, and anywhere where sun penetrates your vehicle interior. To experience the full benefit of the cooling/heat rejection and UV protection of our films, all windows must be treated with 3M film. We offer package discounts when you tint your entire vehicle rather than only partial windows.
- Treating only 2 of your windows is like having the Air Conditioner on while leaving the majority of your windows open, or putting sunscreen on only part of your face. It's not going to be as efficient or effective. You may be tempted to think the heat rejection and UV protection on your 2 newly tinted windows is not working, however, it's probably because you are still getting full sun exposure from all of your largest windows which are still untreated (front and back windshields) and all rear windows.
- Many people mistakenly believe their manufacture dyed stock glass windows are "already tinted" and therefore providing them protection. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Most new stock vehicles today come with "Privacy Glass" also known as Dyed glass on the rear windows. This is "dyed/privacy glass" which is merely a dye-stained glass with NO UV or heat protection. The difference with tinted windows, is they have a UV protection film installed to the surface of the glass, to provide enhanced protection and safety benefits. Tinting is considered an after-maket service, thus if you are not sure if your new car is tinted, it probably is not.
- Most new vehicles today come with stock dyed glass that won't necessarily match aesthetically with our films. To ensure the best aesthetic result of your vehicle throughout, it's best to pick the same series and shade or as close to it as possible to ensure the most even color tone gradient (even going over existing dyed/privacy glass) to balance out the look. Manufacture dyes have different undertone pigments than that of our 3M films. Mismatching colored windows will be the typical result of getting only some of your windows treated.
- Getting your windows tinted in stages; some customers opt to get all their windows treated with our 3M films on their initial appointment while others prefer to get it done in stages for cost or time reasons. Overall, the turnaround time is shorter and more efficient when done in fewer appointments. We offer discounts on bundled packages when you treat all of your windows in the same appointment rather than in later phases.
Privacy/Dyed Glass (No UV/Heat Protection) vs. 3M Tinted Windows
Most new stock vehicles today come with "Privacy Glass" also known as Dyed glass on the rear windows. This is merely a dye, thus, privacy (dyed) glass offers no UV protection. Tinted windows on the other hand, are windows with a special film installed to the surface for protection and performance.
How To Get the Best Look: There are many different shades of dye, so getting only some of your vehicle's windows tinted will not necessarily match the rest of your car. Getting all of your windows installed with the same series and shade is the best way to ensure the same color tone and aesthetic appeal overall for your vehicle.
Tint Removal - Getting Existing Tint REMOVED
Tint Removal is a tedious and time consuming process that should be left to experienced professionals. Don't risk damaging and scratching your glass windows permanently or creating uneven surfaces which will be more apparent when new tint is applied. Improper removal may result in the need for an entire replacement of the glass itself. Hawaii Tinting Law Limits - Darkest Legal Limits Per Vehicle Type
Sedans and Coupes: 35% is the darkest legal for the sides and back. Front Windshield can be tinted up to 80%. No restrictions for sunroof/moonroof.
SUV's, Vans, & Trucks: 35% is the darkest legal for the two front passenger windows. The back windshield, 2 back passenger windows, sunvisor, and sunroof have no legal restrictions and can be tinted as dark as you wish. Front windshield can be tinted with a 70% or higher (lighter).

Front Windshield - Clear to Semi-Clear UV and Heat Protection Benefits
Your Front Windshield is the largest and perhaps most important window in your vehicle to have tinted if heat reduction is a priority. It often requires the most skill and time to install due to the size and curvature of the glass. In Hawaii, windshield tinting is legal and embraced at 70% LTV or greater. Our 86% specialty front windshield tint is well above the legal limit so you are guaranteed to pass your safety check. After the installation process, we will meter your windshield to ensure you are compliant with all legal limits. You will then be enjoying maximum benefits from your entire vehicle! From a Safety perspective, our Specialty Windshield Tint can Reduce up to 93% of Glare, up to 97% of Heat, and helps to hold glass shards together in the event of an accident.
Ask us more about our Front Windshield Tinting Options which are priced separately- starting at $295 for small sized sedans. We also offer a SunVisor, also known as a "Tint Strip" at the very top of your front windshield starting at $75. Visors can be as dark as desired, with no legal shade restrictions.

Prior To Your Auto Tinting Appointment

We do not recommend non-3M tint products which are metallized (potentially hazardous), and infamous for bubbling, peeling, fading, and color change.
PICKUP/TURNAROUND TIME: Completion times are approximate, not guaranteed. We typically have a full day turnaround time depending on the work order, as our specialty films require drying methods in timed stages. In some cases, a next day turnaround time is necessary depending on your appointment start time or work order. Please pick a day where your schedule is flexible to accommodate this. For best chances of same day turn around time, coordinate your drop off time as early as possible, so work can start earlier in the work day, and so your job can be first in the queue. To ensure the most thorough install possible, please refrain from rushing the installers and allow us to call you as soon as your vehicle is ready for pickup.
ARRIVAL: Please arrive several minutes early to confirm your film selections and to check-in with our receptionist. You may be eligible for warranty paperwork that must be filled out prior to the install to be eligible.
REMOVAL OF ALL PERSONAL & BABY ITEMS: Please remove all baby seats, large items, and personal belongings from your vehicle to allow our team unobstructed access to all windows. If we need to remove items we will not be responsible for reassembly.
CANCELLATION POLICY: We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling to avoid forfeiture of your non-refundable deposit. For cancellations prior to 48 hours before your appointment, your deposit will be applied towards your next appointment.
LATE POLICY: If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you. In this case, the same cancellation fee may apply.
WINDOW STICKERS: Please let us know if you have decals or stickers on any windows you'd like to keep on. In many cases, we need to remove all window stickers to do a clean install. Unless otherwise requested, we will remove window stickers at our discretion.
Front Windshield Tinting
Tinting your front windshield with our specialty windshield films provides 99% UV protection, max heat reduction, glare reduction, enhanced privacy, and other great benefits. However, it is impossible to ensure a completely perfect and/or undetectable install. In rare cases, possible side effects include film visibility, distortion, dispersion, and airborne dust which can appear as tiny or pinpoint bubbles or specs.
